International students from Greece and Albania are encouraged to apply for the 2025 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) Graduate Programs offered by the Republic of Korea’s National Institute for International Education (NIIED).
By Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. local time, interested candidates must provide their applications and other paperwork to the appropriate embassies.

GKS Scholarship 2025 Quota for Greece and Albania
- Greece (Embassy Track Quota): 2
- Albania (Embassy Track Quota): 1
- Reserve Candidate: The Embassy may recommend 1 reserve candidate, regardless of the country quota, if needed.
Important Dates and Schedule
- Application Period: February 8 – March 6, 2025
- Notification of Shortlisted Applicants for Interview: March 15, 2025
- Interview: March 20, 2025 (Conducted by the Embassy with selected applicants who pass the initial documentation review)
- Announcement of 1st Selection Results: March 22, 2025
- 2nd Round of Selection Results: Late April 2025
- Final Announcement of 2025 Graduate Degree Scholars: Late May 2025

Key Details
- Candidates may submit a certificate of intended graduation if they anticipate graduating by July 31, 2025. However, by July 31, 2025, they have to turn in their final academic transcript and formal graduation certificate (or diploma) to the GKS Center, NIIED. The acceptance will be canceled if this isn’t done.

- Documents Submission: Submit all required forms and documents to the respective Embassy by March 6, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. local time.
- Individual Responsibility: Applicants must check important notices on the “Study in Korea” website. NIIED will not inform applicants individually about selection results.
